Best practices for upgrade MySQL to 5.6
Hi,
Has anyone ventured to upgrade MySQL 5.5 to 5.6 without problems?
I use Ubuntu 14.04.3
Thanks.

Re: Best practices for upgrade MySQL to 5.6
there is some talk about this here
http://askubuntu.com/questions/614886/u ... -14-04-lts
I would suggest trying it on a test server (vps) would cost you no more then 1-2 hours lease time. once your happy with the process of upgrade and without any errors, duplicate the process on your main server.
*Ensure your test server is the same setup as your main server.
you may need to also upgrade phpmyadmin as well so look out for the notice after you log into phpmyadmin.
snapshot your working server to revert back if you mess it up.
