Face the same thing. Until yesterday (8 days), I still can run all websites. Suddenly this morning all websites which I install wordpress return 'Error establishing a database connection'. Why is that MariaDB suddenly disabled/stopped?
Same with the DNS server. But I already change to using DO dns instead. So no problem. That MariaDB, if you could advice?

This is my DO droplet though.
1 GB Memory / 25 GB Disk / SGP1 - CentOS 7.5 x64
