MySQL Root Password Reset, Now Cannot Connect to Database

I reset my MySQL password because I must have forgotten it or never set one. My first question is, what is the default MySQL password for root that Vesta sets upon installation? I followed this guide https://help.ubuntu.com/community/MysqlPasswordReset and now after changing the password I cannot connect to MySQL. The password reset worked, and I can create and manage databases through the local terminal, but creating a database in the control panel now results in:

Code: Select all

Error: Connection Failed
Could changing the password have messed up other things?

Take a look in the following files to see if your root password is incorrect:

Code: Select all

/usr/local/vesta/conf/vesta.conf
/usr/local/vesta/conf/mysql.conf

Nevermind, I found out that if you change the MySQL password you also need to change it in /usr/local/vesta/conf/mysql.conf
