Viewing Manually Added DB in CP
  • Quote

Post by akforsyt » Tue Jun 30, 2015 5:51 pm

I added several databases via SSH. I am migrating a lot of content from another webserver and did not want to manually create each database from the control panel. How do I get these imported databases to show in the control panel now that they are on the server? I have edited db.conf file in /usr/local/vesta/data/users/admin/ but the databases are still not showing. What am I missing?

New to Vesta, but tried to find answers in forums and search but came up empty on this one.

Ok. What is U_DISK in db.conf and how would I find the value for manually added databases. I think this may have been the reason they weren't showing.

It's user id - if you just copy or make similar, it'll be fine.
For user admin example:

Code: Select all

DB='admin_default' DBUSER='admin_default' MD5='*3C4D7C6CB05404F0E63E62F5E4274C6371A642B1' HOST='localhost' TYPE='mysql' CHARSET='UTF8' U_DISK='1' SUSPENDED='no' TIME='17:42:46' DATE='2015-01-25'

Ok. Found out U_DISK in db.conf actually refers to the disk usage of the database.
Copying new lines to db.conf does not appear to add the existing databases to the control panel. I tried restarting the whole server after adding the new line, but nothing changes. Not a huge deal since they do exist, but it would be nice to see them in the control panel.

Any other suggestions or advice? Alternatively, is there a better way to import many databases?

Yeah, it's my bad - disk usage, of course.

Rebuild user may be?
It's worked fine in many cases.

Thank you for the very quick replies. Very much appreciated.
Rebuilt the admin user via CLI - v-rebuild-user admin.

Now I see the count of databases is correct both on user page and DB listing, but the database name and info still does not show on the Database page.
