Re: remote controll mysql for vestacp works perfect
Okay I gonna try that later today. I think you confused a few things. With MySQL workbench, you connect to your MySQL server and not to your PHPMyAdmin. The host in your PHPMyAdmin is the host from your MySQL server. MySQL is just a database service running on port 3306 and has nothing to do with domain names.mach wrote:than you can never control your remote sqlserver my good man , the sqlserver is running local how the hell will you contact it from a nother country if you not bind to the domain if its running localhost that is ipossible.tjebbeke wrote:I don't understand you I think mach. You don't have to change anything to control you MySQL remotely? Just user your domain name or IP address?
you can contact and upload your sql from another country to the domain my-phpmyadmin.org and change it on localhost that is true but contact remote with a workbenche for that of your domain that is impossible if the mysql is on localhost and vestacp mysql is on localhost so you can not contact it.
i think you dont understand local and internet (you can upload a sql on a domain server thats all)
inside let say phpmyadmin is on 100% localhost ,what if i say mine is not and i run 5 phpmyadmins and not on localhost but on server mysql1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , and 5 than you can remote but not localhost i like to see that...
the only thing you remote is local nothing more.
how the hell wil you remote a sql server like a databases in phpmyadmin if its running on localhost tell me how.
fist of all you have to change the setting in phpmyadmin to real domainserver dummy.. and not localhost , you can upload if there is some phpmyadmin is running on a local server for the outside but not for remote your mysql that is impossible.
this must fist be change

i think alot users dont understand localhost and mysqlserver remote true internet and not localhost.
Code: Select all
MySQL database has been created. Use these details for your PHP scripts:
$mysql_host = "mysql1.vestacp.dynu.comp "; \ alot of server will say here localhost (how the hell will you remote that server from another country tell me that i am all ears... if this domain is not binding to the static ip mmm...
$mysql_database = "a5106963_test";
$mysql_user = "a5106963_tester";
$mysql_password = "";

Re: remote controll mysql for vestacp works perfect
Can you explain why my basic clean installed vestaCP without changing any config file works with MySQL workbench? I think you're wrong about your 'bind' and 'localhost' story. Or I do not understand what you're saying.
phpmyadmin conf:
$cfg['Servers'][$i]['host'] = 'localhost';
workbench:
ps. I think you all should not start a new topic for everything you want to say.
