restarted my server and now cannot access vesta online panel

Hi,

this morning i restarted my server, and all we good, never thought to check thew online panel but as i came to use it now it is saying connection refused! so i went to the command line and tried to restart vesta

i did

service vesta restart

and i get a response

vesta: unrecognized service

all my services are working, websites, webmail. i did a port scan on the port and it showed as closed even though i turned of the firewall? not sure whats going on.
