vestacp the firewall does not respond
vestacp the firewall does not respond
Hello everyone, when I start or modify any rule since the panel gets slower or it crashes directly, I have to restart the server to get it back to work smoothly.
Upon returning the aigue firewall service in gray.
I have read other users with the same problem in the forum but I did not find the solution.
I use Ubuntu Server 18.04.03 with the latest VESTACP

Re: vestacp the firewall does not respond
Well.. may be something wrong with Ubuntu version... it's hosting service or installation from official site?

Hello!
Faced a similar situation!
Platform CentOS 7 + VestaCP + new file2ban 10.5 ...
After installing the entire kit in the Server section, the file2ban panel is not active (restarting does not help). Although all processes work and logs are written.
Spent two days to clarify the situation))
Now to the basic:
- the whole problem lies in file2ban processes
in version 9.4..9.8 - process - file2ban-server
in version 10.5 ... - process - f2b/server
This is the problem ... the VestaCP web shell still checks for the presence of the old process for correct display !!!
Solution of the problem:
it is necessary to correct the VestaCP script, namely the v-list-sys-services file (/ usr / local / vesta / bin /)
275 line
instead: get_srv_state $ FIREWALL_EXTENTION file2ban script
must be specified: get_srv_state $ FIREWALL_EXTENTION f2b script
We restart the service file2ban restart and enjoy the result))
All success!
