WHMCS | Installation error - Upstream prematurely closed

Hello everyone,

So I was able to install WHMCS v6.0.2 successfully before on another domain I had messed around with it, added a few products and all that, all was well except minor bugs that didn't render anything useless.

I decided to revisit WHMCS and have another crack at it with WHMCS v6.2.2 on the same server but different domain, this time I want to deploy it and get it fully configured.

Unfortunately I get an error right off the bad after filling out the database information and click next this error comes up...

Code: Select all

2016/02/17 04:48:53 [error] 17077#0: *580 upstream prematurely closed connection while reading response header from upstream, client: X.X.X.X, server: http://DOMAIN.com, request: "GET /clients/ HTTP/1.1", upstream: "http://X.X.X.X:8080/clients/", host: "DOMAIN.com", referrer: "http://DOMAIN.com/clients/"
So I thought that was weird... Luckily I had WHMCS already installed on the previous domain as mentioned but guess what? Same error..

I increased my proxy timeouts in nginx.conf to over 5mins that didn't do the trick.

Any other ideas?

Hey Topez,

Which nginx template are you using?

Hey Mike,

Thanks for replying and helping me with my WHMCS issues like on the previous post, Mike.

Web, Proxy and DNS are set to default.

Edit: I should also add that the other domain I successfully installed WHMCS on was set to default for Web, Proxy and DNS also.

Hey TopeZ,

Not a problem, glad I can help.

Not sure if this would work for you but, try changing the apache and nginx template to Hosting, then rebuild the user and try to install the DB again, also whenever you hit Next, do you get a blank screen on the installation page or nothing else happens?
Are you using CentOS or Debian?

Regards,

I'm migrating to a new server and host today so I'm going to reinstall IonCube and have another crack at installing WHMCS. I'll let you know how it goes! I just find it odd that I installed it completely fine on the same web server for a different domain and then they both broke... Very odd...

I'll let you know how it goes and if there is any new problems, Mike. :)
