Testing IPv6 changes

Post by mericson » Fri Apr 14, 2017 4:00 pm

I'm willing to test the IPv6 edits I saw in GitHub if someone can point me to instructions to setting up VestaCP from a git repository.

I'm talking about testing this merge request: https://github.com/serghey-rodin/vesta/ ... b0d19a4b3a

Thanks!

Mark,

git clone project-url
then add this commit manually - simpe copy-paste

Beware, it's not tested (may be by author).
As Is.

I understand how to clone a git project, but how do I install VestaCP from the clone?

Why you need install from clone? All you need - file changes.

Hi

Are there any news on the tests?

IPV6 will be for us very important, since our provider will give us a ipv6 range.
In the thread from february 2014 (viewtopic.php?t=4423), there was given us a preview for the next summer (which was meant summer 2014).

And since we love vestacp (it is really very good product), we would wait for that with a great hope in mind ;-).

Replace bin files in /usr/local/vesta/bin with the new files. I would backup of the bin directory before touching it, just in case things don't go as expected.
Good luck
