multi servers
Re: multi servers
the best way to test a proxy server is easy.
let say you have only 1 computer is this windows or linux dont matter.
if the main computers name is server 1 (the landing server ) install just apache server on it for testing proxy servers.
if this apache works good...
next thing you need is a test server in the same network (best way to handle this is install virtualbox) and not vmware.
this virtual machine if its windows or linux dont mater but the name of that computer or server must be server2
if you have follow the script above , the big script must be in the landing server and the little scripts on all other servers.
however you are not there yet...
in apache you must open the handle for all proxy's ,like balancer and whatever if not it can not working.
if you have follow the script , and you type on your computer 1 http://server2 that is working ,that very normal on a single ip.
if you type on compuer 2 that is server2 http://server1 thats working two.
so if there is a real domain on that dns server it works online .
if you never have virtual servers or multi servers from home thats very normal the first time you can not handle it.
but if you know how it works its very easy (you need only 1 ip , and dmz must be open for the static ip ,port forwarding is not need proxy servers works only on 1 ip on a single port 80 for all multiservers
