The repo for debian wheezy does not have the +2.14 (e)glibc..
What do you recommend me to do? Downgrade vesta or have a not supported glibc?

Debian 7 (Wheezy) as i stated in the thread post.
When you say, put on a clean system, what do you mean? New OS or uninstall/install Vesta?

Can't do that, will try to fix this in another way, probably i just abandon Vesta since i feel that with every upgrade i made to the Vesta CP and/or the Debian Wheezy equals big problems with the Vesta system.
Aint worth to fiddle around with this every time.

And thats your solution? Jesus H Christ.

I've fixed this problem, but Vesta developers should add a check not to install or upgrade on Debian Wheezy.
If you are on Wheezy and get this problem you have to:

Upgrade libxml2 with the package from Jessie (libxml2 2.9.x)
First, add jessie as repository, e.g. in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/jessie.list:

deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian jessie main
Then, installing a package from testing is as simple as aptitude -t jessie install libxml2

and also get the eglibc packages from SID:

Add the following line to the file /etc/apt/sources.list:

deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian experimental main
Should be changed to:

deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian sid main
Then follow the rest of perror's post:

Update your package database:

apt-get update
Install the eglibc package:

apt-get -t sid install libc6-amd64 libc6-dev libc6-dbg

Upgrade to CentOS.. pfft :)

Hello everyone. Vesta is greate piece of code, many thanks for support forum too. This is my first post here, so i want to say hello.

I have same problem like @Vazze. But when I run this command:

Code: Select all

apt-get update && apt-get -reinstall install vesta-nginx vesta-php
got error:

Code: Select all

E: Command line option 'r' \[from -reinstall\] is not known.
How to resolve this problem?
Thanks and regards.
