Temporary URL
I currently have VestaCP setup on my production box its domain is xyz.com
I'm moving external clients to this box, how do i go about setting up temporary domain url so that users can test the site prior to cuting over the A record at the Domain Registrar?
Looking at the documentations is a little confusing: (https://vestacp.com/docs/#how-to-config ... ew-domains)
In my case i only have one IP associated with this server.
So is the "tophost.ltd" xyz.com?
where an how to i specify the "NewDomain"
i don't mind either result:
NewDomain.xyz.com
or
xyz.com/NewDomain
either is totally acceptable for me.
And when we are ready to go live and cut over at the registrar, what are the steps in Vesta?

Re: Temporary URL
Just setup the hosting with the real domain name for example domain-name.tld, then add a alias test.domain-name.tld. Now you point the alias on the right server ip and the customer can check the site, if all works, change ip of domain-name.tld and remove the test alias.
Re: Temporary URL
did not work for me. Anyone have an example on how to set this up?
