Ubuntu 18.04 Support ETA
Hello,
Now that Ubuntu Server 18.04 LTS is out, I was wondering if there was an ETA for VestaCP support for 18.04 LTS. I have a new server I want to deploy with Ubuntu 18.04 and would really like to put VestaCP on it.
Frazz.

Re: Ubuntu 18.04 Support ETA
Just a little bump on this.
Also, my guess is that the VESTA team has been working hard on security fixes/updates (judging by another thread) and haven't had time to consider a new release for Ubuntu Server 18.04 LTS which is understandable.

Re: Ubuntu 18.04 Support ETA
I am pretty excited for Ubuntu 18.04 support. With Ubuntu 18.04 and IPv6 support, Vesta will be quite the futureproof control panel for sure. With that said, I have heard that Ubuntu 18.04 is kinda buggy so I might hold off on it until like 2019 and I am sure Vesta will fully support it by then.
Re: Ubuntu 18.04 Support ETA
We are already working on it. Support for Ubuntu 18.04 will be in the next release 0.9.8-22

Re: Ubuntu 18.04 Support ETA
Not sure if this is indicative, but I just downloaded the install script to check something
http://vestacp.com/pub/vst-install.sh
... and it contains these lines
# Currently Supported Operating Systems:
#
# RHEL 5, 6, 7
# CentOS 5, 6, 7
# Debian 7, 8
# Ubuntu 12.04 - 18.04
... and in vst-install-ubuntu.sh, the only difference seems to be this:
if [ "$release" == '18.04' ]; then
mkdir /var/lib/mysql
chown mysql:mysql /var/lib/mysql
mysqld --initialize-insecure
fi
So far, anyway.

Re: Ubuntu 18.04 Support ETA
For me there are issues while installing Ubuntu 18.04. I believe that it could be very easily sorted (few changes in the setup file).
Re: Ubuntu 18.04 Support ETA
Any updates? Git seems stalled :)
Re: Ubuntu 18.04 Support ETA
Seems to be slated for version 23. You could go and upvote it if you're keen to see it appear.
https://bugs.vestacp.com/versions/8
https://bugs.vestacp.com/issues/641
[However, I did a test install of .22 on an Ubuntu 18.04 VM and it seemed to work, or at least didn't throw any major errors. However I didn't install vsftp, softalicious, clamav, spamassassin, so not the full package.]

Re: Ubuntu 18.04 Support ETA
Well, I am the one who created #641 :) But seems not many people are that keen to see it happening?
I have some errors most notably with Roundcube and MySQL.
