Hi,

I have registered domain name thehostoo.com (not mentioning actual domain name) that is using cloudflare DNS where "A" records is pointing to my VPS.

Hostname set in VPS is: thehostoo

Now following the vestacp install procedure I run commands given choosing above hostname, no email setup on server, ngix and apache, iptable+fail2ban

But the installation is never completing though I have a 2 core 8Gb server with enough storage.

Am I not following something correctly? Have followed so many guides but couldn't fully understand FQDN and related commands that I should type. I want to have panel.thehostoo.com to access vestacp on the designated port.

So im not sure what you did wrong, I documented the way i set it up. For hostname I put the entire domain name with tld. (In your case the example you used was thehostoo.com, so whatever your domain is plus the .com "tld"). That may be whats wrong, you could try that and see, failing that just try to follow my guide. If you face any problems, I will do my best to sort you out.
