Error: Connection timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity
Hi,
I'm new in VestaCP. Can you someone help me with the problem that I have?
When I log to FTP account and start upload a mass of files like 1000-2000 so the firs 10-20 files are uploading fast then the message appear:
Error: Connection timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity
Error: File transfer failed
Wait 20-30 seconds and uploading start again but after 10 files the same message appear and etc...
Uploading the whole 1000-2000 files take a lot of time.
How can I fix this problem?
Thanks!

Re: Error: Connection timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity
What FTP server you use ?
In default vesta installation you can edit vsftpd time out in /etc/vsftpd/vsftpd.conf
Also may you have some problems whit pasive ports, you need do more information, check your log in /var/log
You can check this post viewtopic.php?f=44&t=10269
Same problem there :)

Re: Error: Connection timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity
Thank you for the reply!
I use vsftpd form the default installation. I check my config file but it is located in /etc/vsftpd.conf not in folder /etc/vsftpd as you wrote. I don't know is that a problem?
So, here is my vsftpd.conf file:
anonymous_enable=NO
local_enable=YES
write_enable=YES
local_umask=002
anon_upload_enable=NO
dirmessage_enable=YES
xferlog_enable=YES

Re: Error: Connection timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity
What about log ?
Maybe you use all your pasive ports, so you make alot of conections, log may have more information.
Stop firewall and test whitout firewall ( not recomended in production but you can test for discard it )

Re: Error: Connection timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity
I cant explain this in english.
But check your firewall and open pasive ports if are close.
Change range of pasive ports:
pasv_max_port=14000
pasv_min_port=12000
Open range on firewall and it should work.
