Hi all,

So i will use apt remove vsftpd and apt install vsftpd
But is there any other constraint to know before doing it due to the VestaCP Platform ?

Thanks for your advice

After removing it, there's no need to put it back. Just use SSH (SFTP). More secure, as FTP (servers) are prone for all kinds of hacks.

Haha. If this is the only reason to left'off from normal FTP, then vesta team should not add the ability of VSFTP. They still keeping that as one of a default instance, means there is lot of big concerns behind. You suggested not to let the users to use SFTP. because, SFTP needs SSH permissions, which will lead more&more dangerous ways to hack you.

Please find the ways to re'install the normal ftp...
EDIT : In vestacp, for ftp-transfers for users, you could use the SFTP method safely with SFTP-CHROOT [paid] plugin.

The only reason its in there (IMHO); is because its n00b proof.
