Customizing scripts in 'bin' folder
  • Quote

Post by JeroenReumkens » Fri Jun 06, 2014 7:50 pm

Hi,

I'm wondering if it is somehow possible to customize the scripts in the 'bin' folder, without losing these changes after an update. Or maybe you can extend the scripts somehow?

Right now I'm for example looking at the email notifications which I don't receive. But that is because I use the v-backup-users script which doesn't set the notify variable to 'yes'. I can change this right now in the script, but after an update I will lose that change. Or am I wrong?

I hope you guys can help me out, because I really love Vesta! :-)

Thanks,
Jeroen.

Thanks for your reply. Isn't there a option to change any of these scripts and keep the changes after an update?
Or otherwise it can be a future feature that adds a second folder where you can clone the script which overrules the default?

Thanks in advance,
Jeroen

No, not there
After new update you will need to make changes to the files again
Or otherwise it can be a future feature that adds a second folder where you can clone the script which overrules the default?
You can create new suggestion in our official bugtracker
