Opencart Multistore in Vestacp
Opencart Multistore in Vestacp
Hello,
Iam having a little problem with Opencart multistore in Vestacp, iam using 2 different domains for multistore domain1.com and domain2.com.
In Cpanel i would usually point domain2.com to the home path of domain1.com, but in Vestacp i dont know how to do it because when adding a new domain it automatically creates its own folder and doesnt make it possible to change the path.
If someone have an idea how i can change the path in Vestacp for multistore to work, would appreciate any help.
Following is an example from Opencarts page
http://docs.opencart.com/administration/multi-store/
Thanks

Re: Opencart Multistore in Vestacp
Edit config files from domain 2:
Go to: /home/username/conf/web
edit: httpd.conf
Replace: /home/username/web/domain2.com/public_html
with: /home/username/web/domain1.com/public_html
restart apache: v-restart-web
Attention: user rebuild overwrites the config!

Thanks for your help, it works now as it should, it would be nice if Vestacp team would make it easier for such functions instead of doing it manually.tjebbeke wrote:Edit config files from domain 2:

Re: Opencart Multistore in Vestacp
You can also try to add domain2 as alias from domain1.
Re: Opencart Multistore in Vestacp
That sounds like another good way to do it, do i have to add anything in the records of domain1? if you can please guide me to learn another way.tjebbeke wrote:You can also try to add domain2 as alias from domain1.

Re: Opencart Multistore in Vestacp
I have not tested it. But create a DNS domain for domain2.com. Add domain2.com as alias domain1.commagzen wrote:That sounds like another good way to do it, do i have to add anything in the records of domain1? if you can please guide me to learn another way.tjebbeke wrote:You can also try to add domain2 as alias from domain1.
