Hi all, i had to move my VestaCP installation to another VPS because of the resources become not enough, i remember when i installed it the last one i got the Vesta CP email with the admin account info in it, now i didn't. I noticed also if i add a new FTP account it won't send me the email within details of it. Any idea please? Thank you.

There is a big chance 25 port blocked by your hosting provider.

having the same issue after having to move one website to a vps yesterday.
mail is received if someone send to the email account, but if you send an email reply or new email you get an unroutable address error.
Even if you send the email from webmail roundcube has the same error, unroutable address.
Receiving works.
Sending doesn't.
really odd.

Bingo.
Sad, but it's common practice ;-(

Hi, my 25 port is not blocked, i have no blocks atm but i resolved purchasing a MX Plan over vesta thanks.

seems error was something related Microsoft:

** [email protected] R=dnslookup T=remote_smtp: SMTP error from remote mail server after MAIL FROM:<[email protected]> SIZE=1750: host mx3.hotmail.com [65.55.33.119]: 550 SC-001 (COL004-MC5F28) Unfortunately, messages from XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX weren't sent. Please contact your Internet service provider since part of their network is on our block list. You can also refer your provider to http://mail.live.com/mail/troubleshooting.aspx#errors.

I have another issue now:

do you know why is adding a \ before any ' in the emails text?

example:

L\'account FTP è stato creato ed è pronto per l\'uso.

Hostname:
Username:
Password:

It's just spam block, you can check your IP there - mxtoolbox.com/blacklists.aspx

/usr/local/vesta/web/inc/i18n/en.php
(or your language)
