SpamAssassin Logs and headers

I have installed Spamassassin as per the docs, however it does not add a header to emails even though I set this option in local.cf

I cant see where spamassassin is writing it's logs too (nothing in /var/log) and can't tell if it is filtering emails..

I don't know what OS your running, but can you tell if spamassassin is actually running or if it's off?

It is running, and putting spam in the spam folder.. Running Ubuntu 12.04
