"a2enmod rewrite" fix has been added to installer
You're a legend, thanks skid. I'm about to try the entire process again on a clean build.

Here is how you can enable it

Code: Select all

a2enmod rewrite
service apache2 restart
thanks for that skid. I'd already tried both and no change, WP url rewrite still result in a 404 error.

I just tried it again to be sure and same problem. Is there something else I'm missing?
Interesting. Where does it exactly hang? nginx or apache2?

Ah, thought as much. On a clean install, it was a relatively simple matter of enabling apache2's rewrite rules, as nginx seemed to not be interfering with WordPress.

Good to know, regardless, though.

Again, as mentioned, keep the awesome work up.

Same here, just did a completely clean install (5th in a row) following exactly the same steps as last time and the URL rewriting works out of the box. :-)
