Connection to storage server failed - ERROR

I'm getting the error connection to storage server failed. I thought dovecot was stopped but it is running.

I checked the logs and this is what i found :

Jan 02 14:43:40 imap: Error: Invalid user settings. Refer to server log for more information.

Any idea how i can fix this?
