But I don't see that vestacp has officially said that it will no longer give support and that vestacp has died
Instead of referring other folks from vestacp because no better join forces and work with the vesta project that has compatibility with CentOS and Debian ?? fragmenting doesn't help

I have tried the vestacp folks and they don't trust me

VestaCP devs doesnt react to anyhting, also not to e-mails from other devs nor they build up new packages to fix the current exploits. In my personal view, this looks "dead" to me - doesnt matter if the devs write it or not :).

For vesta, (as far as I know) there is only one dev that has the ability to build new packages and manage the repository. Also I'm not in a consense how the team have handled the discussion, transparency and communication about the "recent" zero day exploits and hacks of the vesta infrastructure. Due to this points was a working together, for me personaly, not an option.

At the moment I do not change since I do not like or trust Debian, I prefer CentOS a thousand times
I'd rather stay on VestaCP than not migrate to other folk platforms that only support Debian

It is very expensive to migrate and it is not as easy as taking a backup and importing

If you believe that he is dead, why is he not forcing other programmers to take the place of those who do not want to continue in VestaCP?

He isnt dead, at least according to his facebook activity. I can't answer you the question, I also don't understand it.

About trusting debian/ubuntu or not, this is your decission. The most of our devs and I are using debian or ubuntu based systems, that's why our focus is on it. If you want to help us expanding centos support for hestia, that would be awesome :)!

Is it possible to create vestaCP backup from CentOS and restore on Ubuntu HestiaCP or myVestaCP?
Vesta backup is 100% compatible with myVesta backup, actually I didn't modified backup format at all.

Is there any reason and fact why you don't trust Debian?
All security vulnerabilities I have seen are fixed on Debian before CentOS fixed it.
I'm using Debian since 2007, and probably 300 servers managed in last 14 years... my servers never get rooted.

some bad experiences and I've also been with CentOS for years since I trained with that system and I no longer intend to go back to school to train for Debian
In CentOS, the resolution of problems will be managed, in Debian I do not know it and I do not want to know them.
CentOS 0 problems and I have my custom repos that I manage for my clients

Legit answer.
For the same reason I only use Debian.

Here is a CentOS Fork: https://github.com/madeITBelgium/vesta
It will be great if you find bugs and fix them in your fork - to send those fixes to official repo.
I just did it with fixes in my fork, I just applied them to official vesta git - https://github.com/serghey-rodin/vesta/commits/master

If you already have PR - send me to PM - I will merge them.
