Brute force on email
Re: Brute force on email
it's impossible to get rid of brute force attacks.
the best solution is to use fail2ban, because it manages to block the IPs that are carrying out the attack.
if the same IP appears frequently, then you can block the IP permanently.
this kind of problem has nothing to do with VestaCP, HestiaCP or any other control panel.

Re: Brute force on email
If you suspect a brute force attack on your email, it's important to take immediate action to protect your accounts. Ensure you have strong and unique passwords, enable two-factor authentication, and monitor your systems for any unusual activity. Checking the /var/log/exim/main.log for suspicious activity is a good idea. Consider implementing additional security measures if needed, and consult with a cybersecurity professional for further assistance. For more details you can check the news insides. Stay vigilant and protect your email accounts from unauthorized access.
