Firewall rules gone/ blank in interface
  • Quote

Post by quatroweb » Tue Jul 05, 2016 8:05 pm

Today I logged into my VestaCP and went to Firewall.

It seems that "out of nothing" the rules disappeared. The interface is totally blank.
I therefore logged into the server with SSH and went to /usr/local/vesta/data/firewall/rules.conf to see if there were any rules there.
The file was totally okay and all the rules were there, but still not showing in the firewall interface of VestaCP.
I have 3 linux/ ubuntu 14.04 LTS servers running vesta release 16 where 2 of the servers are working as normal. It's only one of them that did not display the firewall rules.

Does anyone have any experience with this or can help to get them to display in the interface again?

Appreciate any help!

Problem solved!

There was around 300 rules added to the firewall and somehow it was showing blank page when looking in VestaCP as already mentioned above.

I cleared the file and copied the default 10 rules or so to the file, then saved and bom then it showed again in VestaCP.
