VestaCP servers got hacked
2 of our Vesta Servers got hacked.
One server had some rootkit running which was continuously creating processes and made the whole server unresponsive. Another server was participating in a botnet.
The servers are hosted at contabo and a big network disruption was caused just because of this. For now contabo has given us a warning and said that they will ask for a compensation next time. One of our system admin fixed all the issues but still we are doubting about it. This has happened in the recent days only. I request the Vesta team to please investigate on this. Our system admin will further post how he fixed it.

Well, viewtopic.php?f=10&t=16556 and a yellow banner in header. You can't trust infected servers anymore, best way is to install a new server then move the sites.
