Uninstall ClamAV and Spamassassin without breaking mail servide.

I'm not storing any e-mails on my server due to i forward all the incoming mails to gmail accounts. For this reason i belive i don't really need "ClamAV and Spamassassin" running on the server. They also use a lot of RAM.
I followed this topic viewtopic.php?f=12&t=11279#p43123 and uninstalled the services but mail forward didn't worked. Do i need "ClamAV and Spamassassin" to be accepted by gmail or something?
