PHPMYAADMIN CANNOT UPLOAD DATABASE - DEPRECATION NOTICE and COLLATION 'utf8_general_ci' is not valid for CHARACTER SET '

Hi there,

I installed VestaCP BUT

- several deprecation notices despide I did as recommended here viewtopic.php?t=13381

- and when uploading the database I have this message COLLATION 'utf8_general_ci' is not valid for CHARACTER SET 'utf8mb4'
(as it didn't accept the database I did change collation to utf8_general_ci but now I got the message above)

please help
