Hi.
When I firstly installed vestacp on ubuntu 13 the version of roundcube was recent, but when I finally installed on production server with Ubuntu 12 the version was quite old as default.
Is there any safe/easy way to update roundcube or it's not possible running Ubuntu 12?

Also which is the best way to backup entire server for formatting and reinstall all in a new Ubuntu 14 p.e.?

Thanks in advance.

While Ubuntu itself is a decent operating system, personally I've had issues with versions 12.04 to 14. I would seriously recommend you look at something more like Debian Wheezy instead of Ubuntu. Debian and Ubuntu use the same core and in Command Line you still use apt-get or aptitude to do what you need to.

Granted if you want to continue using Ubuntu by all means do so, but I'm just giving you a heads up that you can save yourself a lot of time and hassle by using Debian instead.
