Backup tar is not valid

Hi,
I have to migrate some sites under admin user from one VestaCP to other. I'm doing this for the first time, so don't know why but when I try to restore the backup set to the new Server I get the following message

Code: Select all

/usr/local/vesta/bin/v-restore-user admin /root/Downloads/admin.2015-06-14.tar
Error: backup /root/Downloads/admin.2015-06-14.tar is not valid
What can be wrong ?

I'd like to tell that the NEW SERVER runs the new latest version of Vesta CP on Centos 6.6 while the older server runs Debian 7 and the one earlier version of VestaCP. Are the Older VESTACP's backup sets restorable on the new one ?

Please Guide me.

Here I got the same problem?
My backup-file is set to 777 so that there is no user problem when I run the command

Code: Select all

 /usr/local/vesta/bin/v-restore-user admin admin.2015-10-05.tar
But ikeeps on moaning about the backup file isnt valid.

The source server was a small VPS and the new server is a big and fast dedicated machine

What can I do?

Urgent help needed.

Thanks in advance.
Andre

move your files/DBs manually... it shouldn't take much time
