subdomain redirects to another website all together

I have a user who has two site on his account and package. The issue is that the main website which is a placeholder static html page loads fine, but then the subdomain redirects me to a website on an entierly different account. Any ideas on what is causing this and how I should fix this?

Check that the A record points to the correct IP, verify that the virtual host is configured properly in /home/username/conf/web in the relevant files, which may be any combination of apache2.conf, sapache2.conf, httpd.conf, shttpd.conf, nginx.conf, snginx.conf. You'll need to know a little about virtual hosts to read this. Alternative is to have someone look at it who does.

I do know about apache vhosts. I can confirm that it is pointing to the right ip address. My question now becomes I have nginx acting as reverse proxy and apache behind it. Wouldnt I need just a virtual host on nginx?

I just checked the apache.conf and nginx.conf file and they seem fine as they should in terms of what it should be doing. What doesnt make much sense is why it happens if you have the main domain plus a subdomain of that domain on the same vesta cp account. If i split them into two seperate accounts this issue does not happen.

I think I have isolated the issue. looking at the nginx vhost directives it seems like there is no vhost entry for the subdomain. Where can i file bugs against vesta to have this fixed?

I added the nginx server chunk for the subdomain site yet the site is still loads an entierly different website for an entierly different domain. apache doesnt seem to be an issue, unless i need to ad an apache vhost?

mistyped the url all together that was the issue here.
