Post by ndelaespada » Tue Nov 12, 2013 4:43 pm

Hi,
I'm trying to create forwarding email address using vesta, is this possible? I can't find an option for that.

Thanks,

Ok, I do see a "forward to" option but does that mean it will forward to the address I specify there but also keep the emails in the local inbox? or just forward and not keep anything locally (similar to cpanel forwarder option)

In this version it will keep local copy. In the next release there will be a checkbox to control forwarding behaviour.

The " Do not store forwarded mail" checkbox is indeed present now, but is has no effect?
If the checkbox is checked an I send an email to [email protected] and it is forwarded to [email protected], it will end up in both mail accounts. So, this isn't working at the moment?

My OS is Debian 7 x64
The only thing I need to do is check the checkbox, right? No other setting I'm missing?
I want to do this, because i don't see an other way to add a domain alias for email (like there is for web).

It's not like CPanel, but there is option:
