Any Update On Filemanager ?

Post by msk19994 » Mon Jul 28, 2014 7:24 am

Hey Guys
I wanted to inquire if you guys were making a filemanager for vestacp as its needed, I saw a filemanager thread earlier which was made by a user but i cant find it anymore so i just wanted to inquire if the vestacp team were working on an inbuilt filemanager as it sucks to edit files via ssh and zip and unzip via ssh.
It would be great if someone could give me a link to that thread and also vestacp team please release an official version for it as its needed.
Thanks

according to the roadmap http://vestacp.com/roadmap/

web file manager will be available soon on commercial edition of this control panel.. that means its not free

so be happy with FTP :D

I use http://winscp.net/eng/index.php and login via scp and I can zip and unzip folder.. I dont need to go to ssh and type those commands

Im impressed about the File manager, being the only paid module.
Is that the only difference between paid/free version?

3$ month for 1 plugin sounds so mad. For 10$/month you pay Cpanel, excuse me.

Also, for regular users the net2ftp is good enough, and for devs, SSH is enough.
Winscp, sshfs and scp itself are good for those tasks.

So it's really hard to understand what's the importance of that module...

There is no such thing like paid version of VestaCP, and we don't plan this in future.
Only few paid modules, now there is two - Filemanager and SFTP Chroot.

Well, it's user choice, you know? You can buy CPanel or use VestaCP or different panel.. It's up to you.

Yep, users have options: some can pay for plugin, some can't. We do not force to buy or to use modules, it's free choice.

Сomfort, easy to use and in the end VestaCP support.
