Error 500 using Vesta CP on CentOS 6

Hi community,

I'm a first time user of Vesta CP. I am getting a 500 error (internal server error) on my Web accounts. Not sure how to proceed.

OS: CentOS 6
Apache template: default
Nginx template: default
DNS template: default

I have not htaccess file. No files have been transferred to the public_html folder, only the default Vesta index.html exists in it.

Any help is much appreciated.

I get confused on this setup step, according to vestacp.com/docs/#how-to-setup-vanity-nameservers I should edit the DNS template to child-ns. I tried that, and it didn't work. I changed DNS template back to default and it continues to not work.

Do I need 2 IP addresses to run VestaCP? Both ns1 and ns2 are pointing to the same IP. I don't think it is a problem but who knows...

By the way, I love the Vesta CP. Even though it is not fully working yet, I am really happy with its usability and how friendly it is. Just gotta get it to work and adios cPanel!

Hello. Same error here. It just happened to me today. I had to reinstall VestaCP panel and got this error. I tried installing it on any distr but didn't help.

Is there a way download older version of this great CP?

Поставил vesta на чистую Centos 6 (64 bits),

mydomain.com/index.html открывается без проблем

php страницы выдают 500 Internal Server Error

http://my-ip/phpmyadmin/ выдает: 502 Bad Gateway

Вроде как php не работает... Нужно ли что-то настраивать для php после установки?

Sorry guys, I'm new on this forum, I will switch to English:

Installed Vesta CP on clean Centos 6 (64 bits),

mydomain.com/index.html - can be viewed well

all the php pages give Error 500 Internal Server Error

http://my-ip/phpmyadmin/ gives 502 Bad Gateway

Looks like php doesn't work...
Do I need to change any default settings after installation?

Just got a reply in russian thread: viewtopic.php?f=28&t=6076

Looks like a bug, turning iptables off solved this issue for me. I reported this here:
