Alias not working on subdomain

Hello, I just got my first VPS and installed Vesta on it.

I have a problem with my alias for a subdomain.

My primary domain, example.com works ok, both on example.com and www.example.com
However, a subdomain, intranet.example.com doesnt work with the www.intranet.example.com alias.

The subdomain is implemented as a new website in vesta CP.

How these aliases work? Where should I look?

you need to make sure that dns records exist for intranet and www.intranet to be able to use those. On the alias side im not sure in terms of vesta what you would need to setup though.
