New Install of Vestacp Won't Send Emails By Default
In more detail, there are several places withing the Web Interface where it says that an email will be sent to new users with credentials and such. Well, these emails never send. I assume that they would just send from port 25, but I don't recall seeing anywhere to set email properties, such as send-as, authentication, etc?

Well... It's may be several reason for this:
- blocked port
- not valid e-mail
- not resolved e-mail (I think it's a reason)
- MTA exim don't work
Can you check in console? Command -> mailq

Thanks, I'll check that command. I have business grade internet in my office where we run an exchange server using port 25.

It's your problem - "Unrouteable address"
There is two way to solve this problem: 1) you can check closed or not your 25 port, and make setting for resolv/PRT/dns/hostname 2) use external mail for your messages - viewtopic.php?f=12&t=7422

I want my VCP server to only act as a web server, not host email for users. So, I only want VCP to send email notifications like when you create a new FTP user. I do not want to allow port 25 access INTO VCP.
When VCP sends an email, I want it to send it to my internal mail server, for example mail.example.com:8001 (yes, I mean on port 8001) and there is NO authentication - anonymous.
So, from what I learned, I think I need to update the /etc/exim/main.conf file. Can you please tell me where I specify my mail server and port?

I uncommented the smarthost section and added my server. After 30 minutes it just started working :)
