Failed to load /etc/phpmyadmin/config-db.php

I have had no problems with phpmyadmin unitl tonight, its showing blank page checked the logs and noted

phpmyadmin: Failed to load /etc/phpmyadmin/config-db.php Check group www-data has read access and open_basedir restrictions

Unbuntu 14.04 server

Any help please.
PS checked config-db.php not their but config-db.php_ and permissions correct ??
