It maybe the server dns setting issue.
My host name is mydomain.com and I don't want to host my site under admin account, so i create a user account for it.
At my domain register, I set up ns1.mydomain.com as name server, and have ns1.mydomain.com point to my vps' ip address.
The same for ns2.

There is no domain under admin account.
The dns setting is default.
Name Servers:
ns1.localhost.ltd
ns2.localhost.ltd
When I go the my domain, it shows up the default vestacp page.
my domain seems like pointed to my vps' ip address correctly.
the following is my domain dns setting.

My server did have ssl. I generated ssl cert and key from the csr generator in vestacp.
I only use the ssl cert and key, no SSL Certificate Authority is used

Maybe you can try to remove the CNAME records for IMAP and SMTP.

Or try different ports
imap: 143, 993
smtp: 25, 465, 587, 2525

I have tried all ports.
Initial dns setting does not work. I tried to add CNAME to see if there is any luck.

The data on a CNAME record must always be another DNS name. As I see in your screenshot it is not.

Can you give me more information about your server in pm?

like what kind of information?

I have my vps wiped and re-installed. On my new vestacp installation, I have removed cname on my server.
Now, I can login to my mail server but cannot sent mail.
All ports are opened
