Restore from a backup

Post by bigdrop » Wed Oct 05, 2016 9:06 pm

I have vestacp installed on a vps but I have some problems since an ubuntu update, mysql is not working so I have no access to phpmyadmin.

I deployed a new vps and installed vestacp, now I'm trying to restore a backup from my other server (the one that does not work properly anymore) to this machine. But since the mysql is not working I cannot restore the backup and the user throught the command line. I tried to do that from the command line but I got an error and the process stopped.

So now the backup file is lockated in the /backup folder on my new server but the I cannot go on with the restore.

Can someone please tell how to restore the backup manually or from the vestacp.

Thank you.

You can use v-restore-user command.
