Error code 2 LetsEncrypt
  • Quote

Post by herojohan » Sat Jan 21, 2017 3:34 pm

Hi there,

I would like to install a LetsEncrypt SSL to some of my websites.
Only it generates a Error Code 2 when trying to save.

Anyone know a solution?

Same problem, but it occurs only for one subdomain - for two others SSL enabled without any problem. If you need logs tell me which ones exactly.

This type of responses is what I hate about the internet the most.

Listen deadbeef, if you were able to solve it, wouldn't it be MUCH BETTER to SHARE the result of you "being dumb" ?

Because, this is the first thread that comes up when you type "vesta error code 2" on google.

It would be so much better if you would be kind with everyone else and share your findings instead of keeping it to yourself. Now i'm forced to keep searching for an answer because you were fine by fixing it all yourself without sharing it.

Good work !

OK, I mistyped the domain name, so it was unavailable. Really hope that helps =)
But I think you must agree that this kind of "solution" is not something that worths sharing.

Hi,
Unfortunately having the same error code, but no typo here.
Just installed VestaCP 0.9.8-17 on a new VSP with Debian 8.8.
What else should I check?
Thank you in advance!
Best

Edit:
Hi,
Just found out, that change from Apache to Nginx solves the problem !!!

Not only mistake on typo error will cause this error, Vesta will set [email protected] as alias of website by default, please check on your domain DNS management, is this alias was created? If didn't, delete alias from the edit website page or add www as alias in DNS Management of your domain, then check SSL Support checkbox and click to save. Cert may success to create if the error same like the situation I was described.
