Ubuntu 16.04 on Digital Ocean

On a fresh installation of VestaCP, after no prior or post modifications, the VESTA variable does not return any results.

Additionally when trying to call a vesta cli commands, for example the change password command:

Code: Select all

v-change-user-password: command not found
This has happened on multiple installations.

Have you verified that Vesta installed correctly?

Have you verified that Vesta files are actually there?

Is the file your calling in the Vesta folder?

I too have just installed VestaCP on Ubuntu 16.04, not on Digital Ocean, but that shouldn't matter.

This is a fresh Install which I have done on multiple systems. I would assume that installation wad done properly as I didn't see any errors. I wouldn't mind providing logs if that is helpful though.

The folder where the executables are, is loctated at

Code: Select all

/usr/local/vesta/bin
As i said, vesta is not defined and the path variable doesn't have that folder.

It's variables prob, not script:

Code: Select all

export VESTA=/usr/local/vesta/
or
viewtopic.php?uid=17&f=16&t=5075&start=0#p15173

It's pretty rare, but happen.. reason - distro version, I think ;-(

On my ubuntu also 16.04 had this issue. Due to the path is not set.
Run the below command :

Code: Select all

export PATH=$PATH:/usr/local/vesta/bin/
