doubt about configuration

Hello! i rent a vps cloud server with these specificaction:

OpenStack KVM / 1 Core /2GB RAM /10GB SSD
10000 GB transfr /anti-DDOS / OS: CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian

my question is: wich plattaform is better. centos or ubuntu (x64 only. The provider do not have x86)
and wich config for vesta are better? i want install a woocommerce site.

txs @coreXL! i installed centos 7 and vesta whit this conf.

bash vst-install.sh --nginx yes --apache yes --phpfpm no --named yes --remi yes --vsftpd yes --proftpd no --iptables yes --fail2ban yes --quota no --exim yes --dovecot yes --spamassassin no --clamav no --mysql yes --postgresql no

everything runs great, instead have and error while send some files under ftp.
the legend who sendme filezilla in some files is

227 Entering Passive Mode (149,56,128,58,47,20).
Comand: STOR freedoms.php
response: 150 Ok to send data.
Error: Connection timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity
Error: transfer failed.

im doing anything wrong??

Have you tried removing the timeout limitation on the filezilla settings?



Change value 20 to 0

Gracias Corexl! De haber sabido que hablas español otra seria la cuestion ;)
al final era el proveedor del vps que tenia problemas de ping.

Ahora bien, sube pero tiene mucha demora. Tengo que configurar el firewall con mi ip en centos para que la descarga sea mas fluida??

Hola, a nivel de firewall no hay nada que configurar para que la fluidez cambie, ya eso va internamente en la calidad de conexion que tiene su servidor.
