www domain appears but not the non-www domain

Postby rpallen » Fri Sep 08, 2017 8:19 pm

I just installed Vesta CP (with nginx and apache) on an Ubuntu 16.04 VPS to the hostname server1.pennypenguingames.com.

Before adding any domains I:
In the Admin user I changed the nameservers to ns1 and ns2.pennypenguingames.com
In DNS, in the server server1.pennypenguingames.com, I changed the nameservers to ns1 and ns2.pennypenguingames.com..

In Web, I then added the domain pennypenguingames.com. I didn't do anything in the add process except enter the domain name and click "Add". I'll worry about SSL and an ftp user later. After doing this I got the VestaCP created webpage at the URL pennypenguingames.com.

In Web, I then added the domain aofuturo.com.br. I didn't do anything in the add process except enter the domain name and click "Add". I'll worry about SSL and an ftp user later. Unlike the previous domain when I went to the URL aofuturo.com.br, I got the error "Firefox was unable to connect to the server aofuturo.com.br" and in Chrome on my cell phone I got EER-CONNECTION_REFUSED. I don't know what possessed me to try this, but I tried http://www.aofuturo.com.br in Firefox and on my phone and I got the VestaCP created webpage.

What should I do?

I still access your domain with https non www. Try clear browser cockie. You should install source web before install ssl or creat .htaccess for redirect non www

I always sort out www and other subdomain stuff at the registrar with cname and A zone records.

I have a lot less trouble doing it via registrar zone records.

If your registrar doesnt allow dns hosting for free, get another registrar.
