Limit download speed per website
Limit download speed per website
I have installed mod_bw on to my centos linux server running VestaCP but I am struggling to get mod_bw to work... I have added the appropriate lines to the httpd.conf file in /home/user/conf/web but all downloads are still full speed.
Does anybody know which files need to be modified to enable mod_bw to work correctly? Or any other alternative to throttle download speeds/bandwidth?
I have followed the following tutorial but it still doesn't work, I am wondering if I need to point to the module in some config file???

Re: Limit download speed per website
Hi, I am the admin of the blog. I am a bit busy till March due to some important company work. Still I can try to help.
When you open your apache config file you should see a line <Directory /home/user/web/domain.tld/public_html> .
Please replace user with the username of the user on which the website is hosted and also replace domain.tld with the URL of the website.
Then add the lines which were mentioned. Try modifying BandWidth all to extremely low values to see if it works.
And you need to this for all the websites for which you want to limit the download speed.
