is it recommended to install an antivirus program like clamav on your server?
I can see the install script only adds the clamav when you install a email server,

but if you don't install an email server should I install an antivirus program?

any one experienced??

thanks

You may manually install clamav by your OS package manager (yum, apt). And scan files manually.

Other good antivirus for websites is maldet: https://www.rfxn.com/projects/linux-malware-detect/
(To get more performance install clamav, then maldet will use clamscan and will scan a lot faster)

And maldet out of box support vesta locations to scan :) So go ahead and try it :)
