MySQL or MariaDB

Os: Debian 8x

MySQL or MariaDB

Hello, I added the database as MySQL, but after logging in to phpmyadmin is the information that it is MariaDB. How can I switch to MySQL?

MariaDB are fork of MySQL. You cant switch. Vesta just call MariaDB as MySQL.

MariaDB is the new MySQL, it's much more supported and probably will entirely replace mysql name. In short to be safe for future event better go with MariaDB.
