What things are mandatory to run only Wordpress site?
What things are mandatory to run only Wordpress site?
In additional settings, we got many things to install.
As I will use vestacp in a low memory server like 5USD VPS of Digital Ocean with 2/3 heavy WordPress sites. I must think before I install any unnecessary services that I actually don't need, or which is useless for running WordPress sites.
I will be using vestacp for personal WordPress website hosting. I don't need softaculus. I will install WordPress manually through database creation.

First what I think I need:
1. WEB(apache+nginx)
2. DB(MySQL)
What other things I need please help me select. My requirement is only host my personal wordpress websites?
So,
1. do I need ftp? I don't know what is this used for.
2. do I need mail? I don't know what will be it used for.
3. do I need dns? As far I think to change my nameservers I will be using the domain registration platform, from where I bought the domain.
4. do I need Firewall? I don't know what is this used for.
5. I don't need softacolus because it's not free. I can install WordPress without using softacolus.
6. do I need additional repository? I don't know what is this used for.
That's it. I am thinking high for this things because I installed cyberpanel previously on 1gb VPS and it was taking a lot of resources. I hosted 2 wp sites. but after few moments my database was failed to load due to low memory. Than I removed one site and continued with 1 wp site. The issue again arise(error establishing a database connection.
So, I'm moving to VestaCP to get better performance with low resources using.
