Deleting and/or locking threads about new release

It may sound like an old record, but people do have a right to ask?

I see a great product, but I see a poor approach to timely updates. Timely updates are required for production environments, aren't they?

The attitude displayed towards those asking about the new release just reinforces my own belief that this control panel isn't going to fare well in the long term.

Sure there are megatons of hours going into development, but annoying your users isn't particularly a good thing.

Before somebody spits out "well piss off then you don't have to use VestaCP" - Regretfully, I'm already in the process of migrating to something else.

It's not necessary to ask for it every day 10 times? Just have patience! They work very hard, it's not so easy to define date, it is very hard to determine when everything is ready. You might prefer a faster version full of mistakes? Just have patience!

I just want to clarify that I haven't actually asked ever when the new release is coming out. You just have to read what other people have written.

I'm also going to clarify that this isn't really about having patience. I'm happy to wait for the new release. I already know it is taking a long time.

The point of the matter is in the subject line of this thread.

You might be right and I think that the best option here is to start using the Updates forum to place more info about when the new update is going to be released as well as a rules section to follow so that people dont keep asking the release date every day.
